Step 1. Click on the My Computer icon
Step 2. Click on Dial-up Networking
Step 3. Click on Make a New Connection

Step 4. Enter a name for this connection. VIRCOM would be a good choice. If you have more than one modem you can select the desired one. Then click on Next.

Step 5. Enter the modem telephone you were given, or that you determined from the dial-up section of our web site. It is best to put all 10 digits in the telephone number field and leave the Area code field blank. Click on Next.

Step 6. This should say VIRCOM or whatever you entered in Step 4. You have a chance to change it here.
Click on Finish.

Step 7. Now right click on the entry you just made, then click on Properties.

Step 8. The General tab should have the name you gave it and the phone number you supplied. If all is OK click on the Server Types tab.

Step 9. We suggest the settings shown here, then click on the TCP/IP Settings button.

Step 10. Again we suggest the settings shown here. Click the OK button and you will return to the previous screen. Click on OK again and your are done.
